An 18 year old from South East London. Matt has volunteered for various causes for the past 4 years. An Assistant Beaver and Cub leader with the 13th Woolwich. He is currently studying for his A2 exams, Maths, Chemistry, History, and planning to study Chemistry at University. Matt is also on the BP Young Leaders Programme, the National Citizens Service Youth Advisory Board and a Youth Advisory Board member. Matt takes part in Charity pantomimes and also coaches’ hockey at the primary school where he learnt to love the sport.

Sitting on the train en route to the Team v interviews I saw a front page stating the level of Youth unemployment. That made me think; how can you make yourself stand out from the crowd when you’re 17 and living at a time when everyone is money conscious. There is a need for innovative opportunities that aren’t focused around money.
