In 2011, vInspired set up a new network called Team v with the aim of giving 18 – 25 year old volunteers the chance to change the world, one campaign at a time. Powered by young people who are socially aware and want to change things for the better, forty team leaders were selected from locations across England to run three national campaigns in their local communities. It’s been an eventful and truly inspiring week for one of our most exciting programmes here at vInspired.

David Miliband MP has pledged his support for Teamv 's mission to tackle food poverty this Christmas.
David agreed to support the campaign after Team vInspired London leader Luke Harris spotted him on a Tube train and seized the opportunity to tell the MP (and the rest of the tube carriage) all about Team v.

Sitting on the train en route to the Team v interviews I saw a front page stating the level of Youth unemployment. That made me think; how can you make yourself stand out from the crowd when you’re 17 and living at a time when everyone is money conscious. There is a need for innovative opportunities that aren’t focused around money.

Wow.. so it’s been a busy couple of weeks for the Team v Crew. We have been swamped with fresher and volunteer fairs and our feet haven’t touched the ground! Our aim has been to spread the word about our new and exciting Leadership and Social Action Programme Team v and the response has been great.
So far we have been to Worcester, Leeds, Birmingham, London, Sussex, Keele, Sheffield, Southampton, Salford and are in Nottingham and London next week.
